Dr. Ciprian Gal is a Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at Mississippi State University.

Education

  • B.Sc., Jacobs University Bremen, Bremen/Germany, 2008
  • Ph.D., Stony Brook University, New York/USA, 2014

Research Interests

  • Quantum Chromo Dynamics: the theory that describes 90% of the matter in the universe
  • Physics Beyond the Standard Model: searching for phenomena that will complete our understanding of the particle world
  • Proton spin puzzle: the spin of the proton can only be partially explained using the properties of quarks and gluons (the particles that make up the proton).
