PGSA

Mission

The PGSA’s mission is to strengthen the graduate student community’s experience in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Mississippi State University by supporting the academic, professional, and personal development of graduate students. To advance this mission, PGSA hosts social and networking events that foster meaningful interactions among graduate students, undergraduate students, faculty, and visiting scholars. With funds from donations and fundraising, PGSA provides support for graduate students to attend professional conferences, give research presentations, participate in workshops, and engage in technical seminars. Finally, PGSA serves as a voice for graduate student concerns, advocating for their well-being, inclusivity, professional growth, and success within the department and beyond.
